Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
Zoey had her 15 week check-up and weighed in at 22.4 lbs. She is all legs! The breeder told me she expected her to be med size but with her weight gain and big paws i'm thinking she is going to be more in the 60 lbs range. She has been gaining 2lbs a week for the last several weeks. It is so fun getting a doodle because you just never know what you are going to end up with! haha I think her coat is going to stay more flat/wavy too. I have noticed undercoat brushing her that she is shedding out her baby fluff but her hair overall is still a good 4 inches all over already. SO excited to see how she continues to grow! Max is still going to be my big guy though he is around 90 lbs. They are all so similar but different!

It is crazy! But that's genetics for you. Just because they had two small parents doesn't necessarily mean they are going to be small! If there is any tall dog anywhere in the lineage, they could take on that trait.
Annie was supposed to be 55-60 lbs, and at less than a year, is already 73. But 73 lbs of cuddly, lovey goodness!
AND as a puppy, she barely shed. Now she sheds like a lab. Oh well! She always leaves her mark..
I remember when Kona was a puppy I was sure I could see him growing overnight! So fun!
Lots of doodles get curlier as they age--one of mine did--flat wavy coat until about 3 or so and now lots of curls.
That's fun! I will have to see if Zoey starts to curl out later. She has some large swirl colics but everything is straight other than she has little curls on her ears. I just love watching them grow. My dad was visiting a couple weeks back and he said when I got Max he would have never guessed that my puppy would grow-up to look like that! hahaha they change so much.
Here are pics of Max and Zoey when they were just little little..
That was the other difference they had was there ear hair! Max has very little hair in his ears and they are silky smooth skin and Zoey is a hairball! Hopefully she won't have chronic ear infections. I was told that this is a difference in breed traits. I have been so fortunate to not have any health issues with Max that is why we went back to the same breeder for Zoey but she has different parents so hopefully she will be have the same luck! haha
I just checked and Fazzy was 19.9 #'s at 17 weeks, he will be 11 months old on the 22nd and the last time that I weighed him, which was probably 3 weeks ago, he was 63.6 #'s. He can stop growing any day now :-)
