My old groomer is coming to clean up DerbyDoodle tomorrow.
More of a bath than anything else, but I do think she needs her eyes trimmed..since everyone is making remarks about her not being able to see.
So, here's the punch line....any specific instructions...I really am Not quite sure how to ask her to trim her face. I want a shaggy doodle but I know the hair between her eyes needs something done, but I am not sure of the PROPER approach to get the look I see on most of the doodles here.
( shave it, cut it, leave it alone?)
The groomer usually only grooms small dogs..so she's never done a doodle..she's coming to do DerbyDoodle b/c of our past relationship & b/c DerbyDoodle is suppose to stay under 20 lbs..and is now probably under 8lbs.
SO, please any instructions so she can begin to acquire that beautiful doodle face?!

Go to DJ and Chance's profile page.  He looks a lot like Derby Doodle.  Check out the photos of Chance!

Go to the Doodle sites with pictures and that might help you. I took a Doodle calender  with me on the last visit and Mya was trimmed perfect. Just the way  I wanted her. I told the groomer to keep the picture  because the two other ones will be there Mom. and tues.

You can also pull the hair up away from the eyes towards the ceiling and then cut across it, leaving it as long as you like it--start longer and repeat until it is where you want. That way, you are not cutting near the eyes on a moving target. (puppies are not usually good at standing still)
