I like the cut. If there is any part of the groom you question, your best bet is to be specific with the groomer about your concerns and preferences next time. After 2 yrs with the same groomer, I'm still tweaking the cuts on my 2 and my groomer is more than happy to accommodate me. I think your doodle's cut is very cute. Is it his/her first?
Looking at the body, it looks nice and even. Did Derby Doodle seem to like the groomer? Did you like how the groomer communicate with you? If so, then I say yes. We have been to the same groomer for few years now. ( last one moved on to the grooming salon in distance.) The top reasons for keeping this groomer for me is that 1) My dogs seem to like her and are good with her. 2) She is very good to my dogs. 3) She is flexible and accommodating to me. 4) She answers my questions and gives me suggestions. These things are important to me besides the techniques and skills.
Cute pup!
It's hard to tell by these pictures but did the groomer cut the hair completely away from the eyes or is that a shadow that's making it resemble raccoon eyes in the top picture?
I agree that talking with the groomer is the best bet. If there is anything about the grooming you didn't like then you can talk it out with them and make sure they don't do it the next time. I just gave my groomer her "second chance" on Friday and I think I'm going to stick it out with her (she's a wonderful groomer but has terrible people skills and a not so nice shop so not really a grooming issue though)
adorable!
Looks like she did a good job. I love that he looks the same length all over. Next time I would have her trim the sides closer from the eyes back to his ears to start a 'beard' - if you want a beard.
My only concern is what you wrote "She is type that believes she knows best!!" That would make be believe that she will do what she wants, not what you want.
I have the same concern - maybe stay with her until she does something you don't agree upon?
Cute pictures!
