Hi all!  I'm Leanne and new Mummy to our new 11 week Golden Doodle.

So today has been wonderfully terrifying.  We drove 2 hours to pick him up and the poor little fella was sick all the way home.  He was very docile and looked rather sad, but not anxious or nervous which I thought was strange.  He kind of took it all in his stride.  First things first once we arrived home, he had some water, which he was super grateful for after being so poorly in the car.  Then he had his first bath and I was pleasantly surprised at how calm he was.  Of course his little tail was firmly between his legs, but he didn't try to flee and wasn't bothered at all by the hairdryer.

The rest of the afternoon was spent exploring, having dinner and learning to take the step in and out of the house to the garden.  Very cute to watch.

He's now snuggled up fast asleep on the sofa beside me.  I've been a little concerned that he's so calm.  Never expected that.  He hasn't nipped or chewed anything (yet).  Excited to see what tomorrow brings.

I feel bad for the poor baby after he pees.  I wonder if he got a smack before he came to us because after he peed and pooped he tried to run away from me and hide his nose under his paws.  Broke my heart :(

He doesn't have a name yet.  I'm stuck between Arthur & Paddington.

Anyway, here he is.. I'm in love.

Leanne ~ your new little one is so darn cute!  I love the name Arthur (or Artie for short). Welcome to Doodle Kisses!

Congratulations and Welcome to Doodle Kisses.  He is adorable!

Welcome to all of you!  Puppy does look a bit scared, but he'll settle in no time!

Congratulations!!! He's adorable!! He does look a bit nervous but he has had a lot of changes in just a short time. I look forward to seeing more pictures as he grows. I too, like Arthur:-)

Hi Leanne (great name by the way) :) Your new baby is so cute. He looks a lot like my Loki doodle does now but Loki is 10 months and weighs 65+ pounds. I was hoping for a shaggy doodle, we have some shag, but looks like yours will have more shag. And Loki is a shedder! Our first day home was pretty quiet to, don't let that fool ya Lol. Puppies will be puppies. I made sure he had lots of chew toys and rawhide. Every time he tried putting his teeth on us we would stick a toy or chew in his mouth. He still till this day tries to mouth us. Hoping he will out grow that soon. Good luck with the potty training. Loki trained real easy. They have such personality, love to love, which you will find out real quick...LeAnn :)

So sweet!  I think just tuckered out from the all the change and then feeling car sick.  I bet he perks right up after a good sleep and then, gradually, the puppy fun will be in full swing!  Lots of good luck.  I like both names!  Paddy for short? I see you are from UK- You know us Americans have to have nicknames!

Welcome Leanne!   What a sweet adorable little guy! He has the most beautiful, gentle eyes.  Seems I'm odd man out here but I love the name Paddington.  Paddy for short.

Leaving home is a big deal for pups so it's not unusual that he might be a bit disoriented at first. He should be feeling better soon .  Some pups are just calmer, gentler, old souls.  Still I would get him in for an initial vet check as soon as possible and immediately if he isn't feeling better by today.  I cannot even imagine anyone smacking any puppy, let alone a pup this young.  Oh I look at those eyes and I can't even go there.   You are a very lucky new doodle mom!  Enjoy him!!

Oh my, what a precious little Doodle! Such a sweet face! I'm sure tomorrow will be a much more active day for the little guy. Its hard to leave your family and go with strangers. He's just a little confused. But he will love you just like his family given a little time.

Adorable.

Oh so cute!!  I love the name Arthur :)

Congrats! What a little cutie. He does look very nervous and scared. I would just watch him and see if he comes into his own over the next couple of weeks. If he doesn't, then I would check with your vet. He also looks very skinny in a couple of the pictures, is he a mini?

I vote for the name Paddington. I love it!

He is cute! Give him a couple of days to adjust, everything is so new to him. He will come out of his shell in no time. I actually like both names. :-)
