Boomer will be 8  October 28th.

Shayna will be 7  October 21st.

Mariner will be 6 July 11th.

 

I'm sure there are older Doodles than Boomer

Our Ellie will be 10 on August 16th and Oliver will be 6 on July 17th. Time has flown by! She is still spunky and extremely active.

Just checking in, in our 2012 discussion, Allyson's in laws had an 11 yr old doodle. Hope she comes on to post. That was the oldest one I had heard of.

Bocker must be right up there.  If not one of the oldest, he is definitely the most famous.  I was watching his videos when I got Hondo and he was born in May of 2003.  I would say Bocker is around 12 years old.  I will post the question on FB.  Groucho Too was seven in March, and he doesn't seem an old dog at all.

So with those of you with dogs over 7-8-9+ years old, have there been any noticeable changes in them that you would attribute to age? Health issues especially? Are they less active? Do they tire with activity more and more each year? Have their personalities changed much?
I can only relate to the changes in my doodles from 2-3-4 yrs old and see changes every year. Just wondering what to look forward to. I'm sure each one is different, but there may be familiarities, just like changes from yr 2 to 3 have brought similar changes to most of our doodles. Mine are calmer, less reactive, more patient than at ages 1 - 2.
Hope this makes sense. I think I am mostly brain dead from reading test questions 6-7 hrs a day! Trying to take a break and enjoy a little DK participation.
