I bring my dood every 4 weeks for regular grooming but in between in the summer now ( we are boaters and love the beach) we bring the dog and she will need in-between baths. Can anyone recommend a good shampoo with conditioner. The sham
Poo i have makes her fur tangly. Thank you

Most important thing is to get a good conditioner. I use conditioners that are to be left in the coat for 5 min and then after rinsing I follow up with a spray leave in conditioner before drying. I like Stazco and Best Shot but there are several good ones out there. You could also try the homemade lemon rinse. It makes the coat really soft, but does not last as long as products specifically made for dogs.

great advice, Barb. With Spud's Triple coat ( yes I know there is not such a thing but truly he has more hair than nature intended) , mixed fleece and wool, conditioner is a must I have found.  I've been searching for answers.  Thanks

I just invested in Cowboy Magic detangler which seems pretty darn amazing. When I was picking it up I noticed right next to it was a Cowboy Magic Conditioner as well. I hear it lives up to its name... MAGIC!

I love Cowboy Magic too. But, Spud Growls when I take out the product.  I know longer use it as I respect his feelings of aversion to even this ' simple aroma'.  I get it because I hate a lot of smells too.  So long awesome Cowboy Magic

He does not seem to mind things that smell like Fruit. Nancy figured that one out for me a few yeas back. I was grateful. So far, I have not found one that compares though.

The last bath, his conditioner was a pear scent   :)  It was okay... but not comparable.

You are welcome!  :-}

I've just started making shampoo for my boys. It is - 1cup Dawn original dish soap (cleaning agent), 1/2 cup Apple Cider Vinegar (deoderizer), 6oz glycerin (conditioner), and 40oz water in a gallon milk jug. Tip the jug to mix, don't shake or you'll get a lot of bubble foam! The soap can be used on dry or wet dogs. I lather, and let it sit for a few minutes then rinse. I follow that with Cowboy Magic detangler or OMG from Plush Puppy for conditioning and detangling. When the boys went for their grooming app last week, I took my shampoo for my groomer friend to use them and let me know what she thought, she loved it and is using it on her dogs now. There are many variations of this mix. Here is a link to one link that talks about the pH balance needed in homemade shampoo. I honestly haven't checked the pH in this mix, but my boys seem to be doing fine so far.

I just started using Aroma Paws, the anti-itching lavender formula because of my pups seasonal skin allergies, and have found that it leaves her coat super soft. It is a shampoo+conditioner and there are several scents/formulations. She had a couple of small sections where her fur seemed rough compared to the rest of her super soft fur and even that is now getting much softer.
I love cowboy magic too but Sadie agrees with Spud and growls when I take it out also. I guess she is offended by the Rosey smell because if I do manage to get it on her she goes nuts trying to rub it off.

On vacation, we visited a lavender farm and in their little store, they had lavender dog shampoo and detangler spray.  I bought both.  I already used the spray and it is okay but not nearly as great as Cowboy Magic, but it is supposed to repell fleas and ticks.  I don't know about this but Ned is still getting fleas even with Frontline plus - they die, but even one drives him crazy.  I think the spray is too strong though because Ned vomited after I sprayed him.

sham poo  :)  I see what you did there
