Broken Tibia

Im so sad for my baby. Tonight Lexie was on her lead in the house and she got excited because someone came home and jumped up and fell backwards and landed on her right leg. Took her to the emergency vet and had xrays done. She broke her tibia. Just tried to take her out and she will not stand on her leg : (

Pretty cast, though (or is it a wrapping?) :) How long will she be required to wear the cast?

Poor baby, I hope she heals quickly. The heart on her cast is a nice touch. The poor little thing is double whammied with a cast and a cone.

I took her cone off. She is so sedated right now she won't be messing with it. The heart was sweet of them. I just hope that she is able to stand once the sedation wears off. I may put her in bed with me so she can remain cone free.
