Finally!  Going to get a discussion started with good (and safe) dog treats!

As a reminder, any treats made from a company listed in our Recommended Foods list will work, so I am not going to list them here. Visit this link for those brands:  http://www.doodlekisses.com/group/thefoodgroup/forum/topics/recomme...

Real Meat Pets added today 7/30.

Thanks, Allyson.

How about Zeus and Zoey's Bakery treats? Goldie and Riley love their Sweet Potato & Chicken treats. I actually heard about them on this site from someone a while back. Here's the info from the box: Made in USA with US ingredients only, Made with real sweet potatoes and chicken. Wheat, Corn and Soy Free. Ingredients: Barley, Oats, Chicken, Sweet Potato, Potato, Pea Starch, Chicken Fat, Mixed Tocopherols.

I can't find a website for them but it says they are made for delcacorp. When I check out their site it seems that they make several dog treats (cookies) that are made in USA and Canada.  Any thoughts on the Zeus & Zoey's Bakery Treats or this Delcacorp company?

The Think Dog treats look okay, although some of them are fairly high in grains & starches. Interesting to see alligator and shellfish used in dog treats, lol. Where did you buy the Zeus & Zoey treats, I can't find a thing about them online.

I found them at Marshall's.

Here is a front and back picture of the box.

Since you now have Goldie on a grain-free kibble, I'd stick to treats that are also grain-free. :)

These have barley & oats as the first two ingredients, and then more starch in the form of potatoes & pea starch.

The fact that they are made in the USA doesn't necessarily mean that the ingredients are sourced in the USA, but the company link you had provided makes me feel okay about that.

I think these may have been a limited production or private label product, since we can't find any info on-line about them.

I just heard of a pet store not too far from me that carries premium dog treats...I have never heard of this brand..I looked around at the website..It seems that the meat is sourced from Australia, and NZ..let me know what you think!

Jump Your Bones

The website seems more geared to retailers or distributors than to actual consumers, but the products themselves look good. Nice selection of novel proteins for dogs with sensitivities. There's no nutritional info provided, hopefully there is on the packages themselves.

Thank you for this!! We have used a few of these and Darwin loves them, but I'd like to try more, variety is a good thing in Darwin's eyes. :-)

Orijen's new freeze dried treats are on the store shelves, and I'm thrilled to see some that contain novel proteins! I'm going to try the Tundra formula for JD.

Someone had a bag of Yumzies in training class. The dogs loved them. The bag said they are MADE in the USA but I can't find and other info on them. She said she bought them at Homegoods. They come in several different flavors. Daphne Loves the peanut butter ones. I see they can be ordered at Amazon and several of the pet supply places online. Just wondering how to tell if they are from sources in the US?

I just looked at a youtube review and she says they are made by Nootie. I will check out their site.

Here's a link to Nootie.com: http://www.nootie.com/default.asp

The sourcing of the treat ingredients is not mentioned, but they do have a toll-free number, so you might call and ask.
