Here is a Pastel Painting I did of my Sweet Golden Retriever "Rockette" she is at the Rainbow Bridge Now... so I am so glad I had done this Painting of her. Please excuse the relection of the light, I could probably use a Photography class.....

Very good too! I am so glad you are posting work again. Is this pencil or charcoal? What kind of paper?

I am working on another drawing of Chloe but this time on Bristol. It is so much different to work on than the sketch paper I used for the first drawing. It seems to pick up the graphite much better, resulting in more darks! I've had to lighten parts of it as I wasn't prepared for that!

Thank you Dee...this is graphite just on a regular Strathmore drawing pad...I got tired of working on this, so I am setting it aside and starting a Pastel Painting..I can go back to this later. I have never worked with charcoal but I want to start to see what it is like, I want to do something with white charcoal pencial too..

there are some really cool drawing books called "Strokes of Genius" they are a series and they come out with one every year...this year is #5, I have 1-4 it is not an instructional book but you can get a lot of really cool ideas..if you are interested Amazon carries them.
