Not unfortunately! It is very fortunate that you will have a celebration of your mother's 87th birthday. My mom will be 97 in October. She lives right now independently in a senior residential facility but will be moving any day now to a board and care home for six seniors. She is all packed up and we are just waiting for her room to be available. We hope to have her moved by the end of the month.
I would love to have my husband see your studio. It looks so much like something he would do. He is a wood artist and works mainly with manzanita but is now working on a
sculpture in walnut. Take a look at his webpage: CharlieKamrath.com and you could also look at mine at LyndaKamrath.com. We are definitely enjoying our retirement and keep quite busy. Love to see you, your art, and your studio when we are down that way.
Totally up in the air right now. Charlie's buddy has a triathelon coming up in September and I have a BBQ for a class reunion on Sept. 15. I really was thinking of coming to SLO on that weekend, so maybe the end of September. The poodle days are here in Carmel on October 5th, so it is filling in quite quickly. Do you have any travel plans?
Cindy - After missing the Hangout on Saturday, I am thinking about a trip down to San Luis Obispo sometime next month to visit some friends. Are you up for a visit from fellow artists (we are more craftspersons) and their unruly dogs?
Hi Cindy, I was in Evie's class yesterday and we talked about you and I meeting online and taking her classes. She said that your pastel group just decided to enter things in the fair. So I will look for yours too. Evie does seem excited about attending the reception and being able to point out the work of her students. She can be so cute!
Cindy, congratulations on winning two prizes at the fair. Is that the pastel you posted here that won first place? It is beautiful! Evie gets so excited every year about how many of her students win prizes at the fair. Several people in my class seem to win every year. Last year I won first place with the seascape I just posted. So this year I am entering the watercolor and the pencil drawing due to the encouragement of my friends in class.
The nude I bought from Jean was in the Brushstrokes show. The model was lying down and Jean stood in back of her head, so the painting is upside down! She really is a good artist. I know you will enjoy the life drawing group with her.
Do you ever go to the dog park? How much does Rosie weigh? I saw that you walk around the lake with her. I recently learned that dogs are allowed there. Obviously I have never been there! I take Chloe to Vineyard Dog Park 3-4 times a week plus take her on two 30 minute walks every day and she is still full of energy!
Thank you Cindy!
Thanks, Cindy. I am enjoying the site so far!

Thanks, Cindy! I've already been sitting at the computer for an hour on this site! Such a nice way to connect with people and other doodles!
