Penny is 7 months & until very recently she has been very good about asking to go out. We have had the occasional accidents because we either didn't get her out in time or we ignored her request. Lately we have had ALOT of accidents. This morning she peed right in front of me without giving any notice that she needed to go out.
Unfortunately, we do not have a fenced yard but are in the process of installing an electronic fence. Her area is flagged & we walk her within that area but she has not experienced the fence correction so I know this has not scared her.
Has anyone experienced this behavior regression & how do I handle it?
Thank in advance for any help & suggestions.

Have you had her checked for a UTI ?  Sounds like a trip to the vet is in order.

My thoughts exactly. I can tell you from human experience - it hits fast, and urgency is the first symptom I experienced!

Thanks. Have called the vet & niw to collect a sample. Penny is not cooperating so far. I hope you are both right, we've had a tough 2 months with diahhrea issues. This is one high maintainence pooch.

Sorry you're having these problems!  I know one member tried a ladle for collecting pee.

That sounds like a good way to collect it.  She won't even know you are behind her. :)

Gotta love the search engine!  Adina posted this:

This is how I collect: I use a stainless steel soup ladle and first thing in the  morning (when I KNOW my dog needs to pee) I go out with the dog and follow  closely ready to swoop that ladle under the peeing doggy. Then I pour the  contents into the sterile container from the vet's office, seal it, bag it in a  zip lock (just in case) and keep take it in right away (well AFTER I've rinsed,  washed and sterilized my ladle).

We had huge parasite issues and expenses! We treated all four dogs and we ended up using vet meds, and OTC deworming granuals and enzymes and probiotics to settle his tummy.

Were your dogs vomiting?

Now that you ask, my husband said she did vomit a very small amount when she had 1 of her accidents.
What could this be?
Thank you all. Finally, able to get enough drops for a urine test. She does have a UTI.
So nice to have a place to go with questions. Love this website.

So the peeing should stop once she is treated!  that's good.  She is so adorable!  Hope things settle down for all now and you can enjoy her without the drama!

Our little AnnaBelle ended up with a UTI after her Spay.  I knew instantly that is what it was as our Sophie got one as well when she was spayed.  AnnaBelle has been on her meds since Friday.  Yesterday was the first accident free day in the house.  So it takes a few days for them to take affect.  You just need to get her outside more than normal and give her lots of time when she is out.  AnnaBelle would squat several times every time she went out, just thinking she had to pee.
