Boy is Blake a cutie. Love the cake, so clever. Thanks
That cracked me up :)
Sweet! I love the destruction derby with the cake. Yum. And Blake is just adorable.
Wow, I haven't seen a photo of him in quite a while. He has changed from baby into adorable little boy! Really great ideas for the party. Looks like a fun time.
Wow Blake has really grown....what a beautiful little boy. Looks like such a fun party....love the artwork. Natalie makes me smile...love the outfit.
So cute I can hardly stand it! Happy Birthday Blake! And what a creative and wonderful cake!
This became my DREAM cake once I found the idea. The reason being that I knew I couldn't mess it up...since messing it up was part of the beauty. Natalie definitely put thought into her 'party dress.' She was thrilled her brother was turning 2, even if part of the thrill was hope that she could play with his presents. Funny enough the gift he was MOST excited about and the one he slept with last night was... a $1 calculator. To him I'm sure it's a technological masterpiece with many uses. One of these uses, I discovered, is a 'timer' to help the kids take turns. It was their idea. Yes, Blake is growing up. He's so sweet. He's the BEST, so far, at making up after the kids fight. He goes to hug and says "I'm sorry" and "I forgive" you (with prompting) readily. And he is talking more and more all the time. He also puts himself into "time out" lately until he calms down. It's ADORABLE.
Funny though that I had not planned on throwing either kid a birthday party. However, two friends from out of town planned to visit this week and get together with another friend and myself for a picnic/play date for the kids. And when I realized the intended date was Blake's Birthday I decided it was a great reason to add some cake and the paint squirt bottles I'd been wanting to try for a party for the past year. It was washable paint, so I can wash that sheet and let my kids do it again....
Happy Birthday, Blake! LOVE
A dream cake for sure. He sure looks like his Moma :)
This looks like a great human party too. I would like to make artwork with a group of friends. Actually, I did have a finger paint party in the basement long ago. Great hand prints all over the walls. It remained for many years until we painted a few years ago
Wow, he is getting so big, I can't believe it! Love the photos, love the party.
That cake is AWESOME!!! I may steal that idea!
