This product appears to be a replacement for Frontline Plus; it's relatively new. According to the website, it's only available in a limited number of states. It's Tritak, BTW.
It's Frontline Plus with the addition of a third insecticide, cyphenothrin.
There is some discussion that cyphenothrin has some additional side effects. It is in the Sargent products.
My personal opinion is that if your current product is working and your dog is doing well with it - don't switch.
And as far as "bad ingredients", nobody would say that insecticides of any kind are "good"; I look upon them as necessary evils, as having your dog get fleas or ticks is much, much worse.
Interesting. Most people said it didn't work, the dog still got fleas. One person said it didn't work as well as Frontline Plus, yet it's the same exact thing as Frontline Plus but with one extra insecticide, so it should work better, lol.
I think it isn't so much that our doodles come with different "baggage" as that we are more in tune with that baggage. We love and adore our other dogs but once you get a doodle..... I have found that doodle owners are uniquely into their dogs - Like how many other breed owners schedule play dates for their dogs? How many deliberately socialize their dogs to as many different situations as possible? I think we are all a bit nuts (in a good way) so we worry about each and every aspect of our doodles' lives - at least I am.
