Colorado Flooding

Has anyone heard from Jarka (Monty and Auggie)?  Her town Commerce City, CO apparently has had/is having  some major flooding.

Have I told you recently how much I love DK peeps? You are the best! Have a great night y'all (as Doris would say).

I spent the last two days doing nothing other then playing with the boys, sleeping in, watching movies that I recently missed, while eating popcorn and drinking red wine. All the time I thought I was so thankful I don't have to worry about evacuation and/or losing my house. Floods are not common in Colorado. If the community is crippled, it's because of snow. Feel bad about the folks who have been affected by this natural disaster. You know, I got thinking: who needs terrorists or wars? Nature can be VERY powerful itself.

You are so right about nature, it's amazing how advanced we can be yet are powerless when it comes to weather. I am so glad you checked in and are fine!

I always wonder--when they do the evacuations, what happens to peoples' pets?  How could I leave Trav???  That just wouldn't happen.

That was a big issue here in the last few years with all the hurricanes and storms. And now some shelters are allowing people to take pets etc. some folks who wouldn't leave their pets died. All very sad.

During Hurricane Sandy there were pet friendly shelters here which was great because I couldn't leave Finney anymore than I could my kids and sure others feel the same.

I just wondered the same thing this morning when they said they had to airlift many people out of the area? Where are their pets? I could not leave Fudge and Vern!

It is all relative.  If it is a life or death situation, you might feel differently.  Give them some hugs now and tell them how important they are to you.
