Bay had her 1 year follow up (she's 16 months now) and since she turned 1 in May, i started feeding her only once a day the amount recommended on bag (Taste of the Wild). Her vet said i should still be feeding her twice a day to keep her metabolism regulated. I've had 3 other dogs over 26 years and never did this beyond a year old! Would love opinions? How often do you feed your adult doods?

Twice a day here, too.

I actually had one dog that we could "free feed" and she self regulated quite well so we always left food in her bowl. That, however, is MOST unusual. We feed twice a day now. Everyone is crated for their meals and we leave them in the crate for 20 minutes. Anything not eaten is picked up when they are let out of their crate.
