I've had my delightful Indy for a little over three weeks now and things are going really well. He sprained his ankle the first week, but it's totally better now and we're making good progress with training (although he's now convinced that "sit" means "lie down", and I'm having trouble convincing him otherwise!).
Initially I was pretty worried about Indy's separation anxiety since he barks and cries a lot whenever I leave the room or the apartment. This week I found the solution to assuaging my own anxiety: I set up a webcam I can watch from work to see what exactly he gets up to during the day. (So far today he's slept, which makes me feel much better about his anxiety.) Who else stalks their doods during the day?
I'm using the AirBeam Pro app for my MacBook Air. It cost $3.99 and streams to a website I can access from anywhere to check in and make sure all's well. I'd be curious to hear what other setups people have!

I have a camera and I keep checking up on Brian at home throughout the day from work, for a minute or two every time I access the app on my phone or on the computer. My camera is called Dropcam and its $150, and is really simple to set up. All you need to do is plug it into an outlet at home and you can access it from anywhere in the world, on your android phone or iphone/ipad or just from a computer.
I don't stalk my doodles... but it sounds like a good idea, just to see how they are doing. Both my doodles are lose and have the run of the house, they were crate trained and are 4 and 3 1/2 yrs old. When I was working from home they pretty much slept all day.
I'm guilty too:) My DH and I are both retired but when we go out we have a web cam in the family room and we check on her every once in awhile while we are out. Actually, we check on her a lot! LOL We are just so crazy about this little girl and we hate to leave her so we are always making sure she is ok. The funny thing is she usually is in her favorite rocker and sleeps almost the entire time we are gone which is never more then a few hours.
Wow, that is really cool. Do you get the app through apple?
