Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
I won't lie, one of the things that attracted me to the goldendoodle breed was the possibility that they were low to non-shedding dogs. I understood that it may not necessarily be, but of course I would be one who got a non-shedding dog... no question about it.
Well, I have decided that my dog is definitely not a non-shedding dog... Don't worry, I still LOVE him, but I have stopped trying to deceive myself about this-finally after 8 months. While, there is still a part of me that hopes that after his adult coat is fully in that the shedding will stop, I've come to terms with the hair... not happy about it, but no longer trying to convince myself otherwise!

It is so much fun to find a doodle that looks like your own, isn't it?
yes! it always makes me smile!!!:) I've already found maggies doppelganger too, I think her name is Bay :P
WOW!!! they do look so much alike!! What a handsome pup you have there if I do say so myself!
My younger one with straighter coat sheds as well. But it puts is all in perspective when you are at a dog park and pet a golden retriever or some other long haired dog. There are clouds and clouds of hair flying. So yes, my Auggie sheds, but it's nothing compared to the "real" shedders.
Real shedders like JD, lol. I have never seen a heavier shedder, and I used to foster German Shepherds! He doesn't move without hair flying off of him!
Clancy sheds A LOT LOT LOT! He sheds more now than when I got him three years ago when he was two.
Your doodle is adorable!! Look at that face... how could you stay sad when you look at it. He he
Thank you! I do believe that he is quite handsome!
LOL! When I was brushing Salvador out on Saturday, I was thinking that I could almost make a sweater with the fur that I brush out!
I know what you mean. Our doodle sheds too. We keep his coat pretty short to help control it because my son and husband have allergies. He is almost 9 months and we love him just the same! :)
