Hello Austin area doodles!

I'm the new (very new) owner of two male Australian labradoodles, Jules and Jett. They were born Sept. 19th and we will be bringing them home Nov 14th.

We are also new to the area, so I'm not familiar with a lot of the locations mentioned in posts. I was wondering if anyone knows of good dog parks in the Lakeway, Bee Cave, Steiner Ranch area that we could take the pups to, once they know their basic obedience commands?

The closest that I know of to that area is Cedar Bark Park. I saw on Yelp there was one in Lakeway, but I haven't been there so cannot speak to it. There are several dog park finder apps available, you could try one of those to see what else is in that area.

Thanks! We won't be bringing the boys home until 14 Nov and then will have to wait until they have all their shots, etc., but it's nice to know there are local parks and other doodles we might have play dates with.

Hi Caroline, Jules & Jett! Welcome to Austin. Hope you are having a great time here and with your beautiful puppies - two must be a handful of love and energy! I just got a Doodle and am new to the site, but have lived near your area for about 15 years. Bee Cave has a great dog park & regular park with paved winding trails just across the street from the dog park located at 13676 Bee Cave Pkwy very near Target & Home Depot if you have not found it yet.

Had no idea there was a park out there. I'm nearby in Dripping Springs, but head out to Bee Cave to shop. I will definitely have to check out the dog park for sure. Thanks.
