First haircut...who is that puppy?

Guess we didn't do a good job explaining what we wanted for our puppy's first haircut. We like the long hair teddy bear look and just needed a little taken off to prevent matting. Also wanted to shorten her "beard" as it is a sponge for water. Barely recognized her. Really looks like a poodle in the face. Also noticed they scraped her nose. I think she rubbed it and caused little beads of blood. Poor thing! Apparently it's just like women's hair. Can't just trust anyone to understand what you like. Will need to learn to explain better. Who knew puppy stuff was so challenging. Hoping it grows back soon!

Hi Christy ~ I hope you do not mind, I posted her photo below so you do not have to click on link.  I think she looks quite cute.  But you are right on the face.  I think you will be surprised how quickly it does grow back!  Next time you go to the groomer take photos of how you want her to look.  If the groomer has not groomed many doodles it will take a several times before she gets it right!  I have found you have to be very specific!  If nothing else just say a puppy clip leaving the hair 1 1/2 - 2 inches everywhere.  I am sorry to hear they scraped her nose.  Personally for me, I like mine to have their ears in line with the beard - but that is a personal preference.

The icons don't show up on an iPad, at least not on mine. I think the only way to utilize them is from a computer. Which makes me wonder... is there a app for Doodle Kisses?

There was/is a mobile app but I never used it. It was not great. Maybe when the switch to the newer Ning platform is accomplished DK will be more tablet friendly. On an iPad you don't get the icons for sure. I end up switching back and forth between iPad and laptop. Help, Clark!!!

I'm glad someone finally said this! I thought I was losing my mind. Everyone kept saying look for the icon... No icon! It's because I'm using an iPad!

Personally, I like the way she looks. Very puppy like. My latest attempts at grooming my 2 seemed to turn out okay the first day, but one week later they look pretty rough again. Your dood looks way better than my 2 at the moment!

First time Chachi was groomed, groomer did the same thing to his nose area. I did not like it at all. It did grow in after a few weeks. He hasn't been groomed since. He is due though. Profile picture was taken today.
