Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
Hey everybody,
Im new to this site, I found this awsome site while researching Labradoodles, and as of 28th of September 2013 I know own a sweet and energetic f1b cream and apricot labradoodle.
I do have alot of questions though, he is quite a handful and it would be alot of help to get some answers from fellow labradoodle owners about him and this website :)
First of all is there anything I need to know about this site? (tips or warnings/ how tos)
also when does my fleece coated labradoodle need to make his first trip to the groomers?
on top of that is there anything i should do to keep him in tip top shape, such as trimming around the eyes or something??
are there any other things I need to do between 3 and 4 months?
are there any guesses as to what he might look like coat wise when he gets older?
any tips or guide lines are very much appreciated as well!
thanks

Hi Siena, welcome to DK!
Regarding what you should know about the site, there is a wealth of information under the orange "Help" tab at the top of the page. The DK Guidelines, How-to's, FAQs, and lots more.
There are Groups here for just about everything related to caring for Siena. A very large, active Grooming Group where you can get answers to the questions you asked here, a very large active Food Group where you can get help & info on recommended food & treats, feeding, digestion, etc., the Puppy Madness Group, which you should definitely join now to help with all those crazy puppy behaviors, regional groups where you can find other doodle owners in your area, and so much more. All can be found under the Groups tab. Explore, read, and enjoy!
thank you so much, I will definitely check all this out!
Welcome to DK. What a cute doodle! Karen has given you great advice. We also have a Photography Group and more groups than can be imagined. There is a search function at the top of the page and you will find we discuss everything and anything. It's good to look there first if you have questions.
Welcome, Siena! Karen and F have given good advice. Your doodle is adorable.
Welcome to doodlekisses, Sienna. What a darling doodle! If the information isn't here it isn't anywhere. :-} Karen's recommendations are spot on for a start. Puppy Madness, Grooming, Nutrition are the top three areas where you can read posts and get questions answered.
Welcome! Such a cute pup and I love the name!!!!!
I think you have gotten some great advice already, but wanted to say I love the name Velcro. Just try and tell yourself, "this too shall pass," about some of the puppy stages. Relax and enjoy that adorable puppy!!
Welcome Siena and Velcro! Looking forward to seeing more photos of your sweet puppy! Did he get his name because he sticks close to you.....or because everything from outside sticks to his fur? He is adorable!!
Welcme welcome welcome, no advice other than to dive right in. Join the groups that interest you and ask questions. You will soon find not only lots of answers but lots of friends too.
GREAT NAME! and very cute pup--you have good advice and I would add that the pup should visit the groomer at the age of 4 months or so to get acquainted, get a little trim (butt, feet, face and nails) and a bath--this will make it easier when they need a full grooming later on---remember, if you have specific questions, you can search the site for past discussions on a topic--over the years, we have covered just about everything!
thanks very much I will definitaly take him in soon then becasue he is all ready 3 monthe and 2 weeks! they grow so fast!
What a cutie Velcro is, and I also love the name! Welcome to DK and have fun with your puppy!
