Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
Dear DoodleKisses - what an awesome site this is. I've spent an awful lot of time here reading, giggling, learning in the past year.
Oh how I love my Doodle girl - what a blessing she is! So sweet, so silly, so pretty, oh sure I can add adjectives and adverbs all day long....
Along the way there has been 'somebody missing' and we knew we were going to have two dogs - period. Life throws curveballs, often - my catching skills slip now and then. The great debate and the search continued. When we got our girl we had looked at Labs, Labradoodle's, got a Goldendoodle. We have both been gobbled up with a bad case of Doodle Love.
It's been bumpy during the search - I'll spare the gory details, but now we have a pack.
Well, he is not a Doodle at all - not even part Poodle - but I am so tickled with him I have to share! I looked at AussieDoodles and pure Poodles, other Doodles and on and on. Rescues and so on - for months - now he is here .... I've taken tons of photos and am currently sleep and caffeine deprived, but joy is in abundance.
So - here he is fellow Doodlers, he is a Miniature American Shepherd (yet another breed of controversy) and I fell in love with the breed, his breeder, made a two day road trip of fetching him. His name is Elmer and he may not be a Doodle, but he sure is a Doozy!

Here is Himself chilling, the above photos - day two and all sorts of Kodak moments abound. The two focused intently on the stove as it whirrs itself to life, while blowing warm air across the kitchen floor - dogs find it seriously fascinating.
Currently she prefers him while he is asleep...
Congratulations on your new baby! He is beautiful! I look forward to seeing lots of pictures of Elmer and his big sister!
I'm surprised to hear that there is controversy about Miniature American Shepherds. They are a true breed that has been accepted for recording in the AKC Foundation Stock Service for more than a year now.
Ah yes, that they are - and frankly I'm tickled that they got the distinction - however amongst the Aussie folks it's not so great a thing.
I'm proud to be an American and my gorgeous little Spirit dog just takes some explaining to people who have never heard of such - others say 'pshaw'. A true original - The Original American RanchHand is a cool phrase.
Adorable puppy :) and beautiful Doodle :)
Elmer is absolutely precious...Congratulations on your newest bundle of joy!
I think Elmer is not only a doozy but an honorary doodle. So cute!!!! Together the dogs make a lovely pack. Enjoy.
He is sooo adorable, congratulations!
Such a cutie!
