The good thing about the ClickIt is the neck and chest are interlinked. So when you make the neck smaller, it is also making the chest bigger. This is why the ClickIt asks you to measure both the neck and chest at the same time to come up with one measurement. Also, I believe the ClickIts should be out. I'm supposed to get mine this week.
Can you give us a link to see the report?
Thanks
Sure :) The link is on their main page, http://centerforpetsafety.org/ the first blue highlighted link that says "download our summary report".
Yes, another reason I am excited about it - - makes sense tome.
So, my pup is 4.5 months old and has a lot of growing to do. we do have him in our minivan regularly though, but mainly on city streets and we are at most travelling 35 mph for only a couple miles, but am concerned that we don't have him restrained. he currently lays on the floor. i hate to spend so much money on a harness that he will quickly outgrown. thoughts? tips? should i just suck it up and get one?
There isn't a brand that I am aware of that allows for a dog to grow into it. :( The Bergan brand is the most adjustable, but I wouldn't recommend it for dogs that are going to get over 75lbs.
I always use Libby's seat belt/harness in the car, although I'm not sure how much it would help. But not using it would make me feel like I'm tempting fate. She is very, very good in the car, just sits by the window, even on longer trips (the longest was about 3 hours). But I'm going to read the report and purchase a newer harness with a better safety rating.
