Wow, this is scary.

Yikes!

This is scary-

There was something crawling on my leg this morning after Quincy jumped up following his walk, but I smashed it before I could identify it - not a tick, smashed too easily.  Still creepy.

Eeew :(

Ugh.  Hate ticks!

Yuck!

Too serious. So many other diseases related to ticks also.
My son had an incident this summer with some sort of bite- rash, flu-like symtoms, fever.
Two tests came back negative for Lymes so he was not treated, even though I actually begged.
A month ago he began to experience delayed and a slight slur in speech or just could not get the words out at all.
He is finally on a course of antibiotics :(
I think the two are related. Who knows though?

OMD, I remember you mentioning this way back.

Oh Joanne, how terrible.  We had a girl in care once that suffered from Lyme disease.  Her symptoms were similar for those from arthritis and she took gold treatment.  Mom's know, right.  I hope the antibiotics fix your DS right up.

Thanks BG

THAT is scary Joanne. I hate when they just blow stuff off, and deep down you know they are wrong not to keep looking.

We dont have much Lyme Disease here in my area.  More and more cases are found each year, still most health care organizations in my area don't know the symptoms when it is staring them in the face. I had him ask for the tests.  He is 26, so I cant get involved but I can whisper in his ear. And who does he call when he is this sick?  :) ME

But he was fishing and hiking along the river for one.

It's a mess, really  :(     They may not be related at all but my gut tells me they could have easily given the meds and be done playing around. Like a game of Russian roulette
