Before I got yogi, I never thought I'd let him sleep in my bed. No other dog of mine has in the past.....
But he is such a snuggler, I've let him up the past two nights while DH was away.
Am I starting a bad habit? He's crate trained at night, so I am trying to decide if I want this to become a habit in the bed or not.

Are any of you sorry you started the habit of allowing your dogs up?

I love having Sawyer in the bed with us but he doesn't stay. He sleeps most of the night on the floor next to my husband. I think because it is next to a door that leads outside so there is a cold draft. He loves the cold!

We have never regretted it...I Love it but usually Ellie chooses to sleep with one of our son's...and I only wish she would choose to be with us, but she probably likes sharing a bed with our son as she has more room on his bed to stretch right out.  We do share our bed every night with our two cats!

I, too , said never in the bed... but then one day I realized he really didn't want to sleep in his crate. Ever since, he's slept on the bed. I left his crate out for awhile, but it wasn't his thing ever again.

I told my husband last night it was a " 3 dog night" last night it was so cold. Kramer and Chip both sleep on the bed, but do move to the floor at some point during the night when they get too hot.

Sometimes I love having Bodi in bed with us - other times NO. (like at 5:00 am on a SATURDAY!)

Enzo just started jumping up on the bed in the last few weeks. Unfortunately, she never stays for long, as she much prefers the cold marble floor or shower floor. I love having her to cuddle up against. LOL...DH wants to know, when she does jump up, in spite of all his tries, she insists on lying between us. This morning, he got her to move onto the other side of him...it lasted for about a minute, and then she was back in between us again. :)

All four of our miniature schnauzers sleep in the bed with us so when we brought Beowoof home it was natural to just add one more! It has started to get crowded now that he's bigger but I love it. He is such a snuggler and loves to be with his pack mates and family. It's nice to wake up to that big doodle nose and shaggy face. He loves to give morning hugs! How can you beat that?! :-)

Lucy has slept in our bed for years, and we only just started allowing Oscar in (he's such a snuggler). My only regret was the other night when I was in the bathroom and my DH left the bed for 5 minutes. Oscar chewed several holes in our brand new sheets! Otherwise, no regrets.

I really believe that's personal preference.  My guys sleep in their beds on the floor in our bedroom.  I used to let G&M come into bed with me in the evening to watch TV (until my DH came up to bed) until one night when Murph growled at him and didn't want to let him onto the bed....he was guarding me and his space on the bed.  That was the end of their bed privileges.

Jane this made me Chuckle....I can only imagine your DH's response to the Growl!!
Both of My Goldendoodles sleep in bed with us. ALL 70 and 80 pounds of them. We have a king size bed and it's tight!!! Wouldn't have it any other Way. LOVE IT!!!
Thanks for the responses! You guys are great to share so much.
I have a new bedmate!
I think one of the reasons it was easy to decide is that he doesn't
seem to shed and leave his fur everywhere.
