We love Zukes treats! There is a really great variety, and the company is really great. A portion of each sale goes to the Dog and Cat Cancer Fund, and they are doing some great eco-friendly things as well.
I would recommend joining the food group, and check out the list of recommended treat brands

Luna loves them too! She eats the Zukes mini naturals
She also likes the Wellness soft treats (can't remember what they're called)
Both are on the recommended brands list
Hi Larry,
The DK Food group has a list of Recommended Treat Brands, all of which are made and sourced in North America, which is important:

It is very important that you not change your pup's diet for at least two weeks after he comes home, and that includes treats. Do not change or add anything to whatever food & treats the breeder has been giving. If the breeder is not using treats, use small pieces of plain cooked chicken. After that, choose treats from any of the brands on the list, or any treat made by one of the companies on our Recommended Food brands list: http://www.doodlekisses.com/group/thefoodgroup/forum/topics/recomme...
Believe it or not when training my girls I usually keep a little bag filled with their kibble, they are happy to do tricks and learn for that. We do have chicken and sweet potato pieces that we dehydrate for them as well.
Myla loves anything! Carrots, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, strawberries, watermelon .... you name it, she loves it! She will do anything for treats and she is not discriminating!!!!
Our puppy loves cut up carrots and apple!
There are many different ways to feed apple to dogs; you can serve it as a frozen slice, you can wedge it into a Kong, you can make apple pops with apple sauce, or serve grated as a dinner topping. Avoid large amounts of apple seeds and stems in fresh apples, as they contain cyanogenic glycosides which can cause tummy upset and more serious problems if consumed in large quantities. Also be cautious feeding dehydrated apples. Dehydrated apples contain all of the nutrients of the hydrated ones but they have no water, so only feed little bits of dried apple to prevent tummy upset.
I copied and pasted that from another website. Just be really careful with seed and stems =)
