A labradoodle breeder I follow on facebook linked this ad from another breeder who is re-homing her doodle. Unfortunately she is doing it the dangerous way. Thought I would post the link here...

Doing it the dangerous and stupid way. The dog is intact and will end up in a puppy mill until he is too old or sick to make puppies anymore, if he doesn't end up as a bait dog or a laboratory specimen. 

I urge everyone here to google the phone number in the ad and see who this breeder is, who cares so little for the well-being of the dogs she makes her living from. I hope nobody here bought a dog from this creature. 

I'm sending this to DRC, and praying he isn't already gone. 

Did anyone on the FB page think to tell her to contact Doodle Rescue?

I don't know. It was posted by someone who knows someone so I'm kind of in the dark about it. I could refer the person who posted it and maybe she will pass it on.

I'm afraid to ask, but what is a bait dog?

A bait dog is a dog people use as basically a practice dog for fighting dogs. I think they usually chain the dog down so it cannot get away. It is one of if not the saddest and most cruel thing you can do to a dog.

Yes, the fighting dog rings (and there is one not more than 20 miles from your home, wherever you live; huge money in it) take "free to good home" dogs to use as bait dogs to train their pitbulls to attack and kill other dogs Larger males are preferred.

Yep, usually a nice, middle-aged, sweet woman shows up and offers a, ' to good to be true- dream home' for the Free Dog.
Most people think its a big Thug who shows up for ' Free Dog'
