Matching collar and leash?

Trying to decide whether to get a matching collar and leash for Yogi. I love the lupine one called turtle reef. Should I match or just use a simple black leash?

Just curious how many of you buy matched sets. This will be the first collar I have bought him since he came home. So excited! ( doesn't take much)

I only use leather leashes so no matching here.  I did buy a matching collar leash set once, it was super cute and I used it almost only for Rosco's therapy trips. But the leash was sooo light and the clasp didn't hold once so I rarely use it.

We use Clancy's leather leash most always too, but rarely use Ned's even though we used leather for the training like you did.

I express creativity through the collars... But with leashes I go more for functionality than design.

I love having them in matching collars…it wasn't easy, but I just found 2 Seahawks collars…we use a leather leash for Baker since he's so strong…Oskar has a royal blue one that goes with all of his collars...

My efforts at matched sets always ends up unmatched eventually. I will use both a collar and leash for a while and realize there's something about the matching leash I don't like, like it burns my fingers when one of the dogs pulls; its longer than I like or too short. But the collar always stays. So I always end up with unmatched sets.

We have the everyday (practical) collar and leash.  I like to use the rope type leash when we walk 

But have an assortment of collars and leashes for therapy work and outings - including a couple made by our good friend Hazel and Chester Wayte of DK fame. 

And my latest addition are a matching red and navy collar and leash specially selected by our vet tech for Gavin, after we placed second in a photo contest they put on.  I also have a nice saddle brown leather lead, a reflective lead for night and others...yeh, I have a problem :)

We don't have matching design, but we have color theme.. LOL . Charlie's color theme is plum, she has plum harness, plum leash and more like fuschia color rolled leather collar. She also has a martingale collar, which is chocolate brown to match her coat.

Pinot's color theme is light green. He has light green harness, light green leash, light green rolled leather collar and light green collar with monkeys on it.  

Sometimes it was difficult to find the matching design with right size, so I went with the color theme!
