I took Quincy in for grooming this morning.  He was a mess of tangles so I guess I should not be surprised so hear his hair is short.  My DH picked him up and I was wondering why he did not call me here at work.  When I called him, he said it was because he was afraid to...it's short, "pretty much a crew cut".  DH said his face is still long and his tail length, too.  

Quincy has really thick most curly hair that tangles so easily.  I know, it will grow!  

I will post pictures later.  sigh.

His head looks like a Texas beauty queen from the 70's!  - I still say they did not have to shave his legs and back-he could have been left much longer, but I guess it's easier to shave than scissor cut.

He look good, Jondell!  Such a cutie, and his trim really isn't too radical, at least not compared to some I've seen!

Oooooo teddy is so cute in both pics! I love the scruffy look and wouldn't want Tully like a poodle either, but if she came back like teddy I wouldn't be unhappy, I just wouldn't want the full on poodle look

Lori, Im sure that he was quite a shock, especially his long thin legs, but you still have a really nice full head and tail, both of which are the biggest characteristics of a doodle IMHO. I know you didn't ask for my opinion, but I would be thinking of maybe trimming his head a little to make him a little less texas beauty queen looking. But again, that's just IMHO.
As for Tully. THAT would be a shock I think I would need a TALL glass of wine over! However, I have always wanted to cut my Murphy like Tully. Just to see what he really looked like under all that hair. Been 5 yrs and Ive still never done it but if he came back from a groomers like that I wouldn't be upset. I think I would feel like I had finally gotten closure to that curiosity. So now you will never have to wonder, and it will grow quicker than you think.

Hi sue, now that I'm over the shock I totally understand where you are coming from, it's quite cool seeing her like this, and as it grows back I might see it at a length I love that I wouldn't have considered before, it also means if I ever have to get her clipped for the summer, it won't seem as bad because I've had it waaaaay shorter. Def wouldn't have been my choice to do this, but it does have its advantages, I just can't wait for it to grow some more so I can get cuddles without various bones sticking into me lol

I thought about that Sue, cutting his hair head a bit. But the hair on his head has calmed down a bit- it was all bow dry fluffy-like a prom queen- but it is more tight curls now and not so pronounced.  I am even getting used to him this way sort of!
