got my 7 month old groomed for the first time today- he has had his sanitary areas shaved before, but not a full body grooming/cut. i like what they did except for the beard (to straight, need some layers!), and they shaved in between his eyes, which I wanted just trimmed with clippers. lessons learned for next time, otherwise, i love his new 'do!

Very nice job! Such a handsome, grown-up looking boy!
He looks great! I would have been thrilled and probably would not grooming Tara myself if she had come home looking this good from her grooming appts.
yes, the place i go to is amazing! there are a lot of doodles where i live, and i have asked other doodle owners where they went, and then went there. really happy, although expensive, worth every cent!
You're very fortunate!! I'm sure you've seen some of the grooming disaster stories here on DK-it can be bad! Thank goodness hair grows!
Awe! So Handsome! :)
Very handsome! I love this cut! I'd love to know what instructions you gave the groomer
He looks so handsome
He is beautiful! My groomer shaved between the eyes on Ned's first cut. Once I asked her not to, it never happened again. I think Ned was her first doodle.
He looks so good!! He looks so pleased with himself!
I'm terrified about having to do this with Spike! Good groomers who actually understand doodles in my area are non existent. It makes it so difficult. I've still got time before it needs to be done so I'll keep looking. It doesn't help that I don't even know what to ask for!
Tracy, do you have a doodlekisses calendar? If so, look through it for doodles that have similar coats to Spike and take the calendar to show the groomer. If you don't have a calendar, look through some photos and find a doodle that has a similar coat, print it up and take it to the groomer.
