The very least we can do is guarantee animals a painless death. This is so barbaric. And the Russians had years to work out more humane solutions to decrease the stray population and keep it under control. People continue to do horrific things.

This is so infuriating. They have had years to find a solution to their problems and from the news reports it seems that nothing is completed. I hope they get enough support to stop it from happening. 

I saw in the newspaper that dogs are vomiting from suspected poisoning. Breaks my heart. :(

Just one more reason the Olympic Games should not have been in Sochi.  I suppose if the stray dogs aren't off the streets Putin will poison the Mayor.  What a lovely country.

Did you see how they were saying they spent more money on these Olympic Games than all the other ones combined?!?!? And they are not even done building things. You should see all the pictures people are posting about their accommodation.
