Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
Finally! Going to get a discussion started with good (and safe) dog treats!
As a reminder, any treats made from a company listed in our Recommended Foods list will work, so I am not going to list them here. Visit this link for those brands: http://www.doodlekisses.com/group/thefoodgroup/forum/topics/recomme...

From what I can see, the treats themselves seem fine.
Well, Pro-Treats responded to my e-mail very promptly, and here is what they said:
Good morning,
Thank you for your e-mail and interest in our products. We are proud to say our treats are all sourced in the USA except for the lamb which comes from New Zealand and is considered to be best. Frozen is manufactured in Portland, Oregon, and the freeze dried is made in Colorado.
Pro-treats sold through “Gimborn” and sold under “Stewart” are the same.
Best regards.
So I would say these are fine, under either name.
I just wanted to post here to let people know that I emailed the Fruitables company asking them questions about upcoming products and they told me they will be launching a smaller version of their treats that are more suitable for training!
That's good to know!
How about making your own dog food? Can you meet all of their needs
Sure, and we have a lot of info here in TFG about that, as well as recipes. But this discussion is about recommended brands for commercial treats. :)
Our dogs (and kids) LOVE Grandma Lucy's............they are in a shape of Teddy Grahams :) All human-grade ingredients and the kids have eaten them too :)
It's perfectly fine to give a variety of treats. Variety is important in dogs' diets as well as people's. And her digestion is pretty much that of an adult's at this point.
