I got Embrace for Haley last year. Have not had to use it yet and hope I never do. His renewal is coming up next month and the premium will go up about $4.50 a month which doesn't sound bad to me.
We use Trupanion for The Boys. They can be a little more expensive but I was more comfortable with how they handled pre-existing, deductibles and network vets (there are none). At least for us, it is worth it.
We have Pet Plan for Hunter, I have been very happy with it. She had a couple of ear infections last year and I had the payment from them within 10 days.
Pet Plan, Have had them five years, We have the gold plan and they always pay without any problem, I have submitted many, many claims, I like they pay when I am in the hospital for Jack to be cared for.
im literally getting anxiety because I don't know which to choose from! healthy paws or pet plan.. I am like panicking that I will make the wrong choice.. I know its crazy.. I read up on both but I still cant decide!!! and the more time that passes I get more anxiety! :/
I don't think you can go wrong with either Pet Plan or Healthy Paws. They are both great companies, with many members here and I'm not sure I'm aware of any complaints here with either. (if you read and understand the policy upfront).
I was trying to go through all of the comments here on DK and finally just gave up and went with Embrace. With three dogs and wanting some coverage for well care, their pricing was significantly lower than even the cheapest Pet Plan. Of course our oldest dog is 6 and that caused his annual plan to be twice what we are paying for the three year olds. I hope we are happy in the end, but it does seem like PetPlan and Embrace are among the top three in most reviews I found. My company discounts VPI, but I dont think they offer wellness. Pet Partners discounts Trupanion, but I wasn't impressed with them either. too bad there isn't some way to combine all of these discussions into one!
Well where did my post go lol
We chose petplan
I went with healthy paws, have yet to submit a claim :)
I know this is an older post, but I have been looking into insurance. Most of the web sites for comparisons are sponsored by one of the insurance companies. I finally found one by consumers report. I was going to go with Pet Plan, but when I looked at the lifetime limit, theirs ran around 10,000 to22,000. Health paws did not have a limit. That made up my mind for Health Paws-cancer surgery and chemo could use up that lifetime benefit in no time. If anyone finds anything different let me know.
