Tomorrow I meet my boy!

I am making a 3 hour drive tomorrow morning to meet Dexter for the first time. The original plan was to bring him home that day but an unforseen parasite has put the puppies on a 10 day antibiotic so he will not be ready to go home until next Friday. I'm probably crazy driving such a long distance when I'll be able to pick him up next weekend and will have to make the same 3 hour drive but I just can't wait!!! I plan on making a day of it and am bringing my kayak along for some afternoon paddling. Dexter's breeder invited me to launch my kayak at her house and even bring little Dexter out for his first ocean adventure. I have his little life jacket ready to go and a baby blanket to drop off for him. I'm so excited. I can't wait to hold my little boy FINALLY!!!!!!

Thank you everyone. I promise to take a ton of pictures and videos of his first kayak ride. It will be in the 80s and sunny so it should be a great day.

One more week to get the new sliding glass door installed and fence in the backyard. Between baby bears making a mess of my yard, baby deer eating my plants, panthers stealing my patio cushions, and a new puppy life will be pretty entertaining here to say the least!!!
