Companion needed

I was thinking that Harpo would be a fine "only dog", but now I am not so sure.  His friend Laila is staying with us for a while and they are so bonded that I question he could make it without her (or another pup).  Yesterday I took her for a walk around the neighborhood and he was frantic in the house alone.  They wrestle and play constantly.  So, anyone know of a dog that is available for rescue or rehome who would be a good companion for Harpo?  My breeder is breeding some sheepadoodles, but they will not be available for a year and that is a long time for a dog to wait for a companion.

Lynda, I am so very sorry about Groucho. I hope he is running in Rainbow Ridge!  One day in the not so distant future my Chihuahua will be running with him!  I am comforted knowing they will not be in pain anymore :)

 

The right dog will come to you. I can completely understand why you'd think Harpo needs a companion. My Peri will not do well on her own.

Harpo is doing quite well with his friend Laila here to keep him company.  When she leaves, another doodle is coming to stay with us.  Hopefully this distracts him from not having his companion Groucho here to keep him in line.

Lynda, I haven't been on DK much lately and I just saw this.  My deepest condolences on your loss.  Groucho Too is once again playing with Hondo at the Bridge.
