Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

So I went to my local very small dog park this morning. I had heard about this dog that looked like Georgia but a bit older that came there. I had never even seen a doodle in general at this place so today when we first met this dog I was in total shock. It's like an older version of Georgia.

She had heard about my dog as well.

We talked a bit and compared notes and even their issues (such as being hand shy with strangers) and other behaviors were amazingly similar. Even watching them at the dog park, if a new dog came to the gate it was like watching synchronized swimmers. It was surreal.

Here are a couple pictures, but the light is really bad and my dog just came back from the groomer and her dog was heading there.

The color (which is gorgeous) is a match!  When the other one is groomed, I bet they will be identical!

I'm pretty sure of that.

We compared a lot of notes. Both are golden doodles. Both are f1b. But they come from completely different parents.

The other dog was beautiful and even the size is what statistics predict my pup to be.

It was just very eery how even the smallest nuances and behavioral quirks were so identical beyond just the looks when we both compared notes. And as I said watching them move and react to another dog or anything, it was like watching synchronized swimmers. I've never seen anything like that in dogs that don't even know each other.

I love the top picture - it looks like Georgia is telling the other one a secret!  I agree when the other one gets groomed you might have a problem telling who is who!  They are both adorable!  Love the color!

More like chewing on his ear.

What gorgeous doodles who do like big and little versions of the same dog.

The other dog's name was Dipper. It was the big dipper and little dipper.

Georgie is a "Mini-me!" This is adorable.  They do look amazingly alike.

How gorgeous are they?!    I'd love to meet Banjo's mini!

Love their color.

Adorable! That's one of the joys of having a doodle, watching it play with another doodle at the dog park! Before the addition of Oscar, Lucy (and I) use to scan the park before entering just to see if another doodle was there. If so, she'd make a bee-line for it and the shenanigans would begin! Amazing how similar Georgia is to the other doodle... love the coloring :)

Beautiful doodles! I agree, they do look-a-like!!

Wow, they look very much the same and so beautiful!
