Harness hassle

I am so frustrated with trying to find harnesses to fit my dogs - think I have broken a molar or two in the process of gritting my teeth.  I have tried six different brands and all don't fit.  I just got through repackaging the Easy Walk to return to Amazon - now that was my most hopeful and I'm just deflated at this point.    Why would they put the buckle in the armpit?

Can somebody  throw me a bone - what is wrong with my dogs, they aren't deformed or abnormal size -  I accidentally found a soft harness that fits Journey, but needed it for Elmer and it was a total no way.  This has gotten so tremendously aggrivating and I'm just really stressed at the moment - life is a bit bumpy right now anyway, but all I want to do is take my dogs out without choking them or damaging myself.     I gave up on finding one that I could use in the car,  nothing fit. 

I've scoured here and I guess I'm in need of something totally outside the box -   could somebody toss me a bone please?

Have you tried the Wonder Walker? It's a lot like the Easy Walk but you can place a special order for any size (made by a local company in Seattle) and even add padding to make them more comfortable. I like this company a lot because they seem to have better quality and the harness has a clip on the front (for walks) and back (for car). We have two, and the first one is now over about 1.5 years old and is still in great condition.

My Oliver has issues too with finding the correct size.  Last year I wanted to get him a life preserver, I ordered the Large - did not fit, ordered the X-Large too big, anything that has to do with going around his chest if a issue.  I use the gentle leader size Lg and that fits him perfect.  I gave up on the life preserve vest !!!  Good luck in your search...

Has anyone tried the Lupine No-pull harness?

I order everything for myself on line (shoes, jeans, swimsuits) but for Dory's harness I took her in to a local pet store and had them fit her and show me how to get it on and off.  I'm sure I wouldn't have figured it out if I'd gotten that online.
