She's a medium ALD, 6.5 months and 24.5 lbs.  Breeder originally said 30 lbs but that seems on the low end with her being nearly 25 lbs at 6 months.  Anyone want to share their growth experiences?

I've heard the rule of thumb is to double 4 month weight and add up to 10 lbs.
I just had a big discussion about this same expected weight/size thing. My Emma (by the vet) is predicting to be around 60lbs or so. Right now Emma is 4/12 months and is weighing in at 25.5 pounds, most of the doodle friends here think Emma will not reach the 60lbs estimated weight. I'm hoping they're right. Another doole owner gave me these guidelines: weight at 4/12 months, multiply by 2, add 5-10 lbs and that is going to be her weight at adult age. Whatever the number I'm sure we are both in love with our dogs, and will love them very much. For me I wished It could be more precise.
Yogi is a mini. He is now 33#'s at 7 1/2 months. I think he is about done growing. This is the first week he not increased in weight. At 5 months he was 26#'s.

My puppy is 25.3 pounds at 16 weeks old. His parents were 70+ pounds ... if that helps at all. :)

The "4 month rule" works pretty well for standards but doesn't work for minis because the smaller the dog, the earlier it reaches full size maturity. Mini growth really slows down after 6 months and by 8 months they have reached their full growth. Then, when you take into consideration, that doodles are a mixed breed dog .....

We weighed Yarrow on the 10th of every month.  She weighed an even 30 lbs at 3 months, 40 lbs at 4 months, 50 lbs at 5 months, 60 lbs at 6 months and at 7 months she is only 63lbs.  Also, her appetite has dropped off.  At 5 & 6 months she was eating nearly 7 cups a day.  Now she's back down to about 5 cups.  I had thought at 4 months that she'd end up around 80 lbs, but now I'm thinking probably closer to 70.  Her parents weighed 60 - 63 lbs.

Oh my goodness, that is a lot of food! What type of food does Yarrow eat?!

After much trial and error and sensitivities, Yarrow finally settled on a grain-free kibble by Petcurean.  It's a 5 star food called NOW FRESH large breed puppy blend.  That large amount of food may have been because she was burning through so many calories through the winter running up and down hills through the woods.  Now that the ticks and bears are active we're just leash walking.

Wow, Yarrow is gorgeous...did you get her from the Ontario area?

Thank you.  I certainly think she's a super model dog.  She came from a very reputable, registered breeder in central Alberta.  This breeder, Dean and Sonia's Hearty K9s, has been breeding goldendoodles and labradoodles for many years and has only had two litters of Bernedoodles.  Sonia told me she's not going to pursue more bernedoodles.  She told me that it is so hard to find Berners who can pass all the health tests to meet her standards for breeding. Too bad, Sonia and her family are exemplary breeders.  Check out this link and you'll see why I was so impressed with their program.  http://www.heartyk9s.com/puppy.html  I was actually researching Bernese Mountain Dogs when I stumbled upon Bernedoodles.  I didn't even know they existed and immediately fell in love!

Really lovely pups.  Yarrow looked like another bernedoodle I've seen, that's why I was asking.
