So what did you do with your doodles this weekend?

We groomed 2 of the 3 Saturday and Sunday. My husband and I typically do it but the kids wanted to help. We got to do alittle kid and dog training along the way. Alex, my 5 year old, being an honest doodle owner told his class today at sharing, "I love my dogs but they take like a billion years to give them baths and cut their hair!". LOL!

Great pix and great dogs and kiddo's. I bet it did seem like a "billion years" to groom 2 dogs. I only do one every other month now. I love how your children are being so helpful. What great lessons in dog care they are getting.

Oh to answer your question, we walked, swam, went to dog park, clipped nails, baths, gave one her short summer cut, took a ride in the car, more walks and lots of ball catching and belly rubs. All in all it was a very doodley weekend.!

What great helpers! For me, grooming Lily, although it does take forever, is great bonding time. It's so nice that you can do it as a family :)

How nice of the kids to help out. I am sure it didn't take too much longer to get the doodles groomed : ) The doodles and I did some gardening. Needless to say they did nothing too constructive in this venture.

We swam, took a nice long leisurely walk around one of our favorite harbors and had lunch at a dockside cafe and no weekend is complete without at least one trip to Home Depot! ;)
