I enjoyed the webinar and posted on the other discussion. I have signed up for the $1 trial and also plan on joining Doggie Dan for a month or two. I thought I was the pack leader, but I need some tweaks! LOL I have tried out Dan's website and find it simple to use and extremely informative. Thanks Adina and Clark for bringing Doggie Dan into our lives!
I'm still trying to find the recording of the webinar....is it still being edited?
[ Update: Replay now available ]
You can now see the replay by following the link in your email or by going to this link.
Enjoy!
Ah, shucks. I kinda liked watching Clark try to figure out what the h*** to do for 10 minutes. :)
You are a sadist Pat! That cropped off portion of the video is now buried so deep in the internet that no one will ever see it again. :-)
I got the link and watched the replay this morning because my computer froze about 3/4 into it last night. I was going to post it for you but now it says its private??
Hi, I signed up and went through the food videos of the pack leader module and I am already hooked on the website. Doggy Dan has taught me that I am not as much of a pack leader as I had thought. I'm definitely in for at least a few months. I've taken some time off of work for several weeks and now I know what I'll be filling my days with. Winston and Sophie won't know what hit 'em.
From a business perspective I think Doggy Dan would do well to offer a one lump payment lifetime membership option. I can't see myself letting the membership go on for months and months, I will eventually cancel it. However, a lifetime membership might be worth paying for if it means getting access to future new content.
Thanks for introducing me to this great new resource. It couldn't have come at a better time.
"Lifetime Membership" is a good idea and I'll talk to Dan about it. Thanks Sherri!
I've been thinking about Doggy Dan all day... [no, not in THAT way]... I've been thinking about his business. I think he has a bralliant concept with offering online dog training courses, however I think his packaging and presentation could be improved because I think he's selling himself short with his current set up. People will sign up for one or two months, see all the content, and then quit. I think his content is worth so much more than that given how much work he must have put into it, and his expertise. I paid a dog trainer almost $400 when I first got Soph as a puppy. For that amount I got a total of 3 and half hours with her. And then additional obediance classes over the years at around $150 a pop. I would have easily funnelled some of that money into a year or lifetime of access to Doggy Dan's content.
I don't know if he's thought of this but if I were him I would divide up the content into packages that are scaled from basic to VIP, each one with increased price points and timeframes, and each one set up for a specific target client. For example: a one month intro to becoming the pack leader, a 3 month problem solver package, a one-year perfect puppy package, and the lifetime, or something along these lines. Each level would offer more extra perks, "exclusive content" etc., with perhaps the lifetime including something really juicy such as a one-hour private consult via skyp.
Sorry if I'm planting ideas that would make things more expensive for DK members, but I can't help myself. I just get so excited about stuff like this. I'm a nerd. I like helping people with their businesses.
I agree with Sherri- I am willing to sign up for a month or two at the discounted monthly price, but would be much more willing to pay a little more for a 6 mos, year, or lifetime option.
Sherri,
I like the way you think! This is off topic but from what you have written, you would LOVE this book by Perry Marshall: 80/20 Sales and Marketing
In it he give the example of how if there are 50,000 people who would spend at least $100 to see a football game, there will be 283 that will spend $10,000 to see that same game in a "deluxe" environment. It's a great book. /Clark
Thanks! I will definitely check it out. I have been helping some friends build their websites and launch their businesses and have been really enjoying the process. :)
