Just signed up for the $1.00 trial period and have already watched the 5 Golden Rules section. I thought I was doing well as a pack leader (and wondering why Tara didn't acknowledge such) but I learned of several areas that I have let drop off over the years or hadn't learned before. I've already started implementing some subtle changes with her and am seeing change in her behavior toward me already. Love it!
I signed up for the $1 trial and am really looking forward to watching the videos! After watching the 5 golden rule videos, I was pleased that I mostly implement them but definitely not to the extent that I need to be. I can already see how making a few little changes can really help. I agree that a "lifetime" membership fee would be awesome as I am unlikely to continue to subscribe and pay month after month. I think he presents the content in a very easily understood manner and love that there were videos (for the golden rules anyway) that showed each method in practice.
I'd love to be able to see the video from the webinar last night too, if it becomes available!
I paid my $1, signed up for Doggy Dan's on line dog trainer, and tried out the website. So far, I've gone through the 5 Golden Rules, and they make sense and are clearly explained. I'd probably heard all of these before, but here they are presented as very important, supported with reasons and demonstrated. Love that!
Thanks so much for presenting the webinar, which was informative and helpful. Sometimes trainers sound like they are talking to complete idiots, and even if I am exactly that sometimes, I appreciate Doggy Dan's attitude, which is clearly that of trying to help both dogs and owners.
Come one, come all! The edited webinar is finally live.
I just watched the webinar to critique the whole thing as well as my own performance. (I'd give myself a B-. I'd give the information presented by Doggy Dan an A+!)
But this webinar wasn't about me. It was about asking Doggy Dan about the most common problems we all experience. And watching it again, I think Dan delivered massively.
Watch the webinar and let us know what you think. Then try out Dan's online dog trainer website for $1 trial. Once inside you will see how simple and brilliant his system is.
Try it for $1. Post in this discussion and you will be entered in the contest. If you think it's not worth $1, I WILL SEND YOU YOUR $1 BACK. And you will still be entered in the contest. I know you will find this valuable.
The Contest and the discount end Wednesday night at midnight.
Thx!

The more I watch these videos, the more I like them! I only wish I had the beautiful scenery of New Zealand to do my training in!
I signed up for the trial too. I will have to see what I can incorporate with the training we already do with the doodles...
I signed up for the trial and so far am loving it! Like Sheri, I am finding that Daphne does a lot of controlling..Lol, and some of it stuff that I love. I have always thought it was so endearing. Now I feel like my eyes have been opened to the little conniving monkey! It will be tough but I think I can do it. We will both be better off!
I signed up for the $1 trial and today actually signed up for the monthly membership---at least for a few months. there is such a wealth of infomration Dan has to offer and I want to take my time to implement his methods with my 1-yr-old Abby, even though she is pretty well-behaved. Can't wait to work on instant recall though, among other things! thanks so much for setting up this webinar and bringing this kind and gentle and no-nonsense training method to the doodle community!
Even though there is a lot of stuff that I've heard before, much of it is tweaked just a little. The one I'm most interested in and have been working on is the "Thank You" for barking. In the past we have been given the word "Enough". We have used it to death and it is very ineffective most of the time now. However, most of the time we were just sitting and yelling "ENOUGH" at them to stop and getting more and more frustrated. His explanation of It is really hard to say "thank you" in any thing but a pleasant voice really struck with me. I feel really stupid in the back yard saying thank you to my dogs, but I have to say, using it and following the three steps seems to be working. So far we have not even had to use step 3.
I just signed up on his site. I'm super excited to watch the videos. I was just looking for a new trainer after attending a training class that MADE us use "training collars" I'm NOT judging those who choose to use them but for me that's not the way I wanted to train Ziggy. I watched the Webinar and just watched the first video from Doggy Dan's site and I'm sure I'll get little sleep tonight! We NEED help! I'm thankful to have this resource and am getting started now. GLad he said to NOT go directly to the "problems" section but to build the foundation. (I would be the kind to go directly to the problem page) hahahha. You all are great here. I really appreciate everyone's posts and all of the knowledge on Doodlekisses. :)
I have joined Doggy Dan's site, I thought I did pretty well with my girls and only had a few glitches we have not worked out but I already tried ignoring my two girls when I came in after being gone most of the day, more painful for me than them but I think it is probably going to be the key in making them relax when others come to our door. Looking forward to learning more.
I would pay for a specific problem but not for the whole site. Unfortunately a family emergency kept me from watching anything for the three day trial period : (
