We're bringing home a standard female multi-gen goldendoodle in a few weeks. Yesterday, we were able to go visit with the puppies…which was so much fun!  They were smaller than I expected, well at least some of them.  There was a big weight difference between the puppies- 2 girls were 4 1/2 lbs and the other 4 were closer to 3 lbs. Next week we'll find out which puppy we were matched with.  I'm secretly hoping for female 1 (the biggest one), but I'll be happy with whichever one we end up with. :-) I don't know how I'm going to make it another 3 weeks to bring home our little Annabelle!!

Anyone else currently waiting on a puppy?

So sweet! We have about a week and a half left until we bring our Riggins home (he's pictures in my profile pic.) It's such a hard wait! 10 days feels MUCH longer than it is. Congrats! :)

Riggins is sooo cute! He'll be home before you know it- I'm a little jealous! haha

I will be getting my medium mutagen in about 4 weeks. Breeder is 12 hours+ away so I could not visit. She is going to try and match me with one that I can work with to become a therapy dog.I don't know sex either. I have a extra bedroom that is packed with dog supplies!. I am worried about the drive home. Have a friend going with me. I would kind of like a girl too-have always had females. But I have been waiting since December and am so excited I don't care anymore-just want to get my puppy home. Your pictures are adorable. Good luck.

Twelve hours is a long drive.  I hope you are driving up one day, spending the night, and driving back the next day.  You will need to be making frequent stops with your puppy and rest stops are perfect for that.  When we travel with our dogs, we go into a restaurant and order our food, then my husband goes out and takes the dogs for a walk.  When he gets back the food us usually there, we eat, and are on our way.  I sure hope (s)he does not get car sick.  You will be pretty bonded by the time you get home.  Have a great trip.  BTW, most doodles are great therapy dogs (remember how they got started) but they are not so good at agility.  We took lessons for a while and my ALD was actually better than I was, but we both flunked agility.

We are driving down in one day and taking 2 coming home. I have thought about the car sickness-plan on lots of paper towels and rags. Have some puppy pads to have pup stand on rather than ground where I don't know what is there.

We actually originally wanted a boy, but it didn't work out that way.  Now I'm excited to have a girl...I've been buying all sorts of cute girly things.  My husband is drawing the line at me buying any sort of clothing for her though. ;-)  That's awesome that you want to do therapy work with your dog.  I've considered it, just not sure if we have the time right now.  My spare bedroom is full of puppy supplies too.  And I keep finding more things that I "need". haha
