Honey's Gotcha Day Anniversary

[The Berry Oaks Doodle Ranch]

Today, July 16th, is Honey's Gotcha Day. It was one year ago that we picked her up from the awesome Alvarado Veterinary Clinic in Texas where Dr. Kevin Beam performed her miracle surgery. Through a lot of rehab, training and, most of all, love she is now a completely healed little (big) girl.

Today, her first Gotacha Day anniversry, we will be picking up Linus, one of DRC's newest adoptable Doodles, from New Port Richey, Florida. Seemed like the right time and right date to do something again so I guess fostering was in the cards for us. Funny how history repeats itself.  Stay tuned for pics and vids.

From where she was to now is amazing.  I love seeing her jump up on the sofa!  You would never know there was anything wrong with her.  Sometimes this seems like yesterday and sometimes it seems like forever ago!  Can't wait to hear how they all do with Linus!

Love this video!  I remember when Honey could hardly crawl across the floor…but still the same smile.  Could we raise enough money?  Would someone do the surgery? Who would foster her?  That long drive with Honey's head on your arm! Where would this girl who had won our hearts end up?  I had to grab a box of kleenex when I watched the reunion with Sheri and Mike again :)  And LOVE your birthday parties!!  3 doodles sitting perfectly behaved at the table…with CAKE in front of them!  You guys are awesome!  Yay for happy ever afters!!
