New Puppy and Predictions!

For the past couple of years, I've wanted a golden or labradoodle. Why? They look like Muppets and I love the Muppets. I was finally able to interact with one in person a few months ago and totally fell in love. Every time I see one, my boyfriend had to hear me oo and ahh over how cute it was. Well, for my 30th birthday a few days ago, my boyfriend surprised me with one. We will be picking him up this coming Sunday and I. Can. Not. Wait! I've been reading all the posts here and everyone has such great advice and stories. We already have one dog, a German Sheppard/ Collie mix named Lofton. He is a year and a half old. We think he's excited about being a big brother. I'd love for all of you to weigh in with your predictions and tell me what you think he'll look like coat and size wise. 

1st pic is when he was like less than a week old

2nd is at 4wks

3rd is yesterday, so 7 and a half weeks

Wow, what a fun surprise for you on your birthday... I swear those pictures look just like Oscar looked at those same ages, only he is cream colored. I'll post some pics when I get to my laptop (on iPad at the moment). Oscar is a Multi Gen standard Labradoodle.

Yay! I've been waiting for someone to say Wendell reminds them of their pup. Wendell does look like Oscar did when he was a puppy. He's just an F1 goldendoodle. Lucy and Oscar are too fun. I bet you guys have a ball at your house.

Actually, I misquoted Oscar's age in that 3rd pic below. He was 11 weeks old, not 9. The 3rd picture of Wendell was the one that really made me think of a particular picture of Oscar at 5 weeks:

But looking at them side by side, maybe they aren't so similar as I thought. Wendell will be a BIG doodle from the look of him. You're in for a real treat come Sunday! Enjoy!

Thank you! Wendell is adorable as well . Yes, same breeder. Lucy is 3 yrs older. She is Oscar's half aunt (Lucy's mother is Oscar's grandmother).

Okay, as promised, here's Oscar at 4 weeks, 6 weeks and 9 weeks. He ended up with a soft curly coat (not as tight a curl as a Lucy's Poodle coat (she's an F1b Labradoodle)):
