Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

So I know that some of you have recently been in touch with shelters and may start taking photos. That is OH MY HECK AWESOME! I've been doing it for a while now and it's honestly one of the best parts of my week. It's so much fun, and so rewarding. Taking pictures and playing with dogs - it doesn't get better than that! It's also a great way to exercise the skills we learn in the PG group. :-)

I wanted to start a discussion where we could add our photos of the shelter dogs we photograph, whether they are before & afters, cute dogs, or even cute pictures of ugly dogs. LOL j/k. I can't wait to see yours! I think it would be great and may help others who may be on the fence decide to take the plunge. Plus - cute dog photos. :-)

I'll post a batch of before & after shots from today.

wow. So sad. I don't understand why people like that get dogs to begin with.

But I do worry that for those people that complain about $25, it could be the difference between dropping it off at a shelter and dumping it on the side of the road.

Really great photos BTW.

That is a good point - I hadn't thought about it that way. And thanks!

May these incredible photos bring in wonderful families. Camilla, these are so well done....sure to help in a huge way!

Thanks Carol!

Beautiful photos. Thank you for  putting aside your emotions to benefit these wonderful animals.

Thanks Joanne

Camilla ~ I believe your work is making a huge difference in many dogs' lives, and that is so wonderful!

Thank you Linda!

Some of the dogs at the shelter this week. This week was harder for me. It seemed as though all of the dogs were either crazy with pent up energy, or completely despondent and afraid of the camera. As a result I was not able to capture a happy portrait of some of them at all - and some of them just looked sad no matter what I tried. Poor pups. It was very sad to see. I hope they all get wonderful homes soon.

8: This poor girl was so sad. I'm pretty sure she was a Labradoodle based on her coat, and looked like she had just delivered a litter of puppies. You can probably guess why she came in - she was no longer useful as a breeding dog and got dumped is what I suspect.

Nevertheless these are excellent. So sad.
Camilla, these photos reflect the intelligence and beauty of these dogs' souls, and I am in awe of your skills and the wonderful way you're putting them to use.

I echo Becka's sentiments.
