Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

Just wondering who here allows their doodles on furniture and if you have any rules. My boys love the couches and I have no issue with it except with Jake who uses the recliners as springboards to jump onto his unsuspecting brothers. Ill have to see if I have a picture of him doing this but usually I am telling him not to use the chairs for play. That dog has more energy than a power plant!

The dogs are allowed to be on beds but they do sleep in there crates. I just cannot have 240 lbs of dogs on our master bed at one time while me and hubby attempts to sleep. The kids want one of the dogs to sleep with them but they still have too many toys on the floor that can be chewed.

Yesterday, Mac "found" my bed. I think he looks quite comfy. He didn't want to get off of it but hubby had to move him because Mac was on his side. So he picks him up and Mac decides to do the 63 lbs of dead weight routine as hubby attempts to move him. LOL. I'd love to see pics of your doodles on the people furniture. :)

Here is Mac on the bed for the first time. No problem jumping up to the bed which is pretty tall.

Yes we do allow it, so much easier to cuddle.

I do allow dogs on furniture, including beds. Initially, JD was not allowed on the new living room sofa unless he was invited up, and he seemed to understand that. Of course, that sofa is no longer new and neither is JD, so there are no more restrictions, lol.

I also tried to keep him off my bed initially, due to his size and his shedding, but it's always been his favorite place to hang out...when I'm not in it. Sadly, he rarely sleeps with me, preferring his own bed or the floor. But I have a king-size bed all to myself, and one dog. If there were four of him and a husband, I'm pretty sure I'd have different rules about dogs on beds. :)

I love the pictures. I have to say that Brisby has the best smile on DK!

Mac probably pinches himself every morning because he can't believe what a great family he has! :-)
We decided not to let Riley on the furniture. She put her front legs on the couch a few times when she was little but I've never seen her even try to jump up. She has always been happy to sit at our feet. We also sit with her on the floor a lot.
Funny, Enzo has no desire to get up n the furniture! When we invite her up, she is into our laps. I have to beg her to jump up on the bed! Yet, she loves to cuddle! Just on the floor.
My dogs are allowed on furniture and beds. They make full use of their privileges but have learned what "move over" means.

That's so funny mine know what move over mean too :)

: )
My Shelby is my first dog and initially she was not allowed on furniture.... Well, it didn't take long before she was allowed on all the furniture including my bed. I love having her by my side on the couch or on the bed.... She has full house privledges.

oh heck yeah!

We even have a couch outside ( well maybe for a few days for the outside couch)

We usually have several couches in our home. One is always at the big picture window so the cats and dog can look out, especially when we are not home.

some old discussion I once wrote about a nasty dog couch we had for...

We have another couch that typically we keep away from that window and then that couch does not get as much wear and tear.

Nice Photos, JEN!   Fill your furniture with love!!!

I loved that old couch discussion!

Me too, Karen. I cant believe I even posted that hideous couch to the entire web world. Who cares though. We had a great laugh.  It made me smile today just revisiting the old discussion

I love these!!  Spud living the good life in the great outdoors :)
