Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
The minimum requirement for calendar photos is 2300 x 1800 pixels at 200 dpi, your photo is 2000 x 1500 at 96 dpi, so it wouldn't print well. Every year when the accepting submission announcement is made there is a link given for the requirements for photo submissions. You really need to read and abide by them or you're just wasting your time and setting yourself up for disappointment. Lots of people would be willing to help if you ask. Heck next year you can even ask me. Rosie is beautiful and would make a great pin up girl with the right photo. She didn't get left out because she's an Irish doodle, there is a calendar for doodles that don't fall into the Goldendoodle or Labradoodle catergory. You have a whole year to get some great pictures. Join the Photography group and you can learn so much to help you improve your photo taking. There is an index on lessons that have been posted and folks are more than willing to answer questions or offer constructive critique.

Karen, I would bet that Rosie wasn't excluded from the calendar because she is an Irish doodle. The Lots A Doodles calendar can accommodate the different doodle combos. Many of our pictures were not chosen for the calendar because they weren't the correct file size or clarity for a calendar, but most often, simply because another photo worked better into the calendar page - this is especially true of the Lots A Doodles Calendar where there are multiple photos on a page. Adina has to wade through hundreds of photos continually narrowing them down and revising the groupings which is a huge undertaking. I am honored that my dogs were chosen to be in this year's calendar, but if they weren't, there is always next year so I keep my favorites all year long for next year's submission.
Even if you don't study up, joining the photography group and sharing the photos you are considering will mean you'll get others helping and guiding you :-)
