I think Otis loves me. Like, loooooves meeeeee. Lol.

I stand at the sink washing dishes---he lays on my feet.
I moved three feet away to cut-up lemons---he gets up and comes over to lay on my feet.
I walk back to the sink to rinse berries---he follows and lays on my feet.

I tell him "Otis, I moved three feet away buddy, you don't HAVE to follow me to lay ON my feet!?" He looks up at me and then lays back on my feet. Lol.

My feet will never be cold again.

Is he turning into a codependent nightmare or is this just a phase? He follows me everywhere! Including laying outside the shower and waiting for me. I mean, I'm flattered, but I'm starting to wonder if this lovely lump of fur is gonna keep this up. Because, if so, I'm definitely going to have to start considering his fur color when I choose a toenail polish.

This is sooo sweet. He will find his independence as he grows up and then you will be wishing for your foot warmer days back lol. P.S. we NEED a picture!
Yes, sadly they do become more independent in many ways. I do love when Luca practically burrows into my side in bed sometimes even now.

That is so sweet, there is no doubt that you are his person. I think in past centuries the Chinese used Pekinese for that purpose.  Our Meg will start getting antsy and pace and follow me around, that is when I know she needs me on the couch where she promptly plops down half on top of me.

That's so sweet! My Cooper is always following me around , when I cook ,there he is, when I get ready in the morning, there he is, etc..., I do have to be careful when moving around in kitchen while preparing meals ,he is pretty much the same colour as my hardwood floors! And he moves from one spot to another....I do consider him to be quite independent most of the time so I do treasure these moments.

Very sweet!  My guy waits outside the shower for me, too.  He cried when the door fogged up when he was a puppy, but now just waits patiently.  The minute I dry off, he wants out.  silly doodles!

Enjoy the warmth.

Yes, I agree, he will become a little less clingy, but I bet you will always be in his line of vision. My Bella is like that, I call her "My Supervisor" as she watches over everything I do.  Secretly tho I think she really is just an opportunist as she knows I'm always dropping crumbs of something and she will eat anything.

I have trained her to "Get out of the Kitchen" and she knows exactly where those boundries are and goes right to the edge of them when asked.  It was a safety issue for me as tripping over her with hot pans or sharp knives just had disaster written all over it!

I've got two "followers" too! I'm so used to it now, I'd think something was wrong if they did otherwise! Enjoy!

I hate to tell you but he just might.  Yes, pictures please. Finn always has one eye on me.  My Beardie used to follow me upstairs and downstairs but Finn has raised it to an art form lol.  When he was a pup, if I went outside for a bit to do some work without him. he'd high tail it up stairs and I'd find him fast asleep on top of a pile of my clothes in the closet.  At least he grew out of that.  But even today, he has a bed in the bathroom, the kitchen, and a fleece mat he carries around which is now sitting under my feet at the computer.  Oi..
