Acana Bag question

Our new shipment came of Acana .... Both the 15 pound bags of same food, one is air right sealed like they always come, the other is sealed but not airtight, Is this reason for concern? Thanks so much!!!

I just got my first bag of Acana from chewy.com.  I noticed it wasn't vacuum sealed like the Orijen bags but didn't realize this was unusual.  I couldn't find any tears and it seems fresh so we are using it.

Champion Foods does not vacuum seal the bags. F, once talked with them about this issue. They do remove excess air.  Mine comes like this many times.   All bags have been fine  :)

Do save your lot numbers with each bag. 

I remove the lot numbers --cut it off the bag and place the little piece of numbers inside the plastic container where I pour the food just in case.

Exactly. Bags have varying amounts of air. No problem.

Yes, I save all the lot numbers, I actually save the whole bag just in case I need to return it!

I have got bags like this and the first time I actually returned it as I was concerned. Since then I have been assured that there is no problem...and there hasn't been. As long as there are no tears or openings I would say it is fine.

The bags are designed to expell excess air when other bags are stacked on top, but they are not vacuum packed during manufacturing. As others have stated, bags of food come to you with varying amounts of air (however, in my experience, most bags come looking like they're vacuum packed).

Quick question on the delivery of food. Are the bags of food packed in a box? I'm concerned about squirrels/turkeys getting into it if I'm not home when it's delivered.

They are in a box.  I've had them delivered for four years and never any problems.  I do know when they are being delivered by tracking the shipments and I try to get to them as soon as possible though

Yes, ours come in a box but the box is usually torn because it has two 15 pound bags of food plus freeze dried so often the box is beat up but the food is always fine!
