Hard day for Lexi and her people

Lexi had a very upset stomach yesterday. Threw up a little in the morning. We attributed it to AM bile and then fled Boston for my inlaws out of the storm path. After we arrived she started having nasty diarrhea in the afternoon through bedtime. She seemed to be perking up in before bed. Even ate a little. But when we woke up this morning she couldn't walk. She was just lying on the floor like a limp noodle. She's been in the Pet ER here all afternoon for observation. There's a possible obstruction, but the x rays are unclear. It's either gas or something like a rubber band.  Separately, they think she injured her leg somehow trying to go to the bathroom in the deep snow. (That's the hypothesis because she couldn't bear any weight on one of her legs, but they don't think it's broken.) We rejected the anti-diarrhea meds, but we have her on pain killers and fluids. Another x-ray in an hour and then they are going to decide whether or not she needs surgery...  Argh.
