A Happy new life for Romeo/Charlie!

Many of you know the story of Ace/Romeo.  He is the Goldendoodle that Elizabeth and I have spent the past 5 months with. For 4 of those months, we were trying anything and everything to capture him. He was finally trapped by a little Shih-Tzu in heat. He followed her into a fenced in yard and was finally caught!

Well now his happy forever life has begun! His new forever name is Charlie. He has a new home in North Georgia with two kids and a boxer sister. He has a stay-at-home Mommy who loves him dearly. His daddy loves him too and takes him for nice long walks near their home. He also has a stay-at-home Grandma. Charlie has acres of fenced in yard to play in as well as a boat for the summer. Sounds perfect right??!

Elizabeth and I were both heartbroken to see him go but at the same time we are so excited for his future! We both wished we could keep him but neither of us could provide him with the wonderful life he will have now. He had such a rough start in life and we know he deserves the absolute BEST!

It's early but Charlie wishes everyone a  "Happy St Patrick's Day!"

Nothing has made us happier than to get updates from his Mom. He has been seen wagging his tail and handing out those wonderful Doodlekisses! In fact, just today, his mom heard her little girl say "Mommy, Mommy, that boy just kissed me!" Happy tears!

Charlie's Mom has joined DK but understandably has not yet had time to really look at this site and learn how to use it. You can welcome her on "Dusty's page". We hope to see a lot of her & Charlie!

I have been following your capture attempts since Sept and checked daily hoping he was captured.  I remember seeing the news one night just as I was ready to sign off.. but had to check the Saving Ace page.  I was so excited and happy he was finally captured and safe.

Loved seeing your and Lori's updates and how he changed from scared and unsure to happy and relaxed.  Looking forward to posts of his new life.  Sounds like he is in a wonderful home.  Thanks for all your hard work and dedication to saving this stinker doodle no matter how hard he tried not to be saved.

Charlie has a great home and Dusty is really working on making him feel comfortable. He seems to come more alive everyday, living the life he should have had all along!
